I have gotten a score of 2400, Band 1.. is it worth applying to medicine? What should I do?
Thank you x
you can still apply to keele and sunderland, provided you have enough material and can reflect well for the r+r form, and you can also do the bmat and apply to bmat unis. also, what is your score breakdown.

VR- 570 DM-580 QR-620 AR-630 SJT- Band 1
VR went terrible- the passages were all long and complex. DM was also a lot harder than what I expected. Thanks for the advice- I’ll look into Keele. I’m only really happy with my SJT tbf…

lincoln could also be an option depending on your gcses

My experience was the opposite funnily enough, thought my VR and DM were easier than expected but my QR and AR were harder than expected. If other elements of your application are strong, it's still worth considering med and looking into unis which don't place a high emphasis on UCAT
As others have said you may want to look into BMAT if you want to apply this year. This can really suit some people, esp if you like the more standard style knowledge exams.
I got AAB in AS and predicted AAA 2 weeks of medical work experience
Will this be enough? I’m so disappointed with my UCAT ://
you score 122 for lincoln (if you meant to type 4x8s), which is borderline i think but may be worth the risk. have you done any volunteering? are you planning on doing the bmat?

I got 2580 in the UCAt today and a band 2. Am quite disappointed because I thought I would do better and score higher. Unfortunately didn’t but still want to do med and am wondering which unis to apply to. Do you know any unis that I can apply to with this low UCAt. My gcse were 5 9’s and 4 8’s and predicted are a*a*a.

look at keele and sunderland, as long as you have good volunteering experience and can reflect well on it. if you attended a lower performing school for gcses consider kmms. otherwise, consider taking the bmat.

Thank you for your quick response. What about queen’s university, Belfast? And what about Leicester and Lincoln? Are they all out of the picture

qub may be worth a shot, but you score 36 and cutoff last yr was 37. lincoln is out due to band 2. leicester is out too as ucat is too low. are you eligible for any contextual points?

I went to a state school secondary school that was underperforming but that’s it I think. Are there any other contextual points? What about ARU? Do I have a shot there?
