You haven't seen Shawshank? Reservoir Dogs? Where have you been living?

If you just watch it on it's own I don't see how it would be grim, as it's not really very graphic at all (chances are if you've seen any horror film from the last ten year's you've seen worse). The whole reason that scene is so disturbing is the build-up and the empathy you feel with the character, to watch the scene in isolation wouldn't be anywhere near as good.

My list is appalling. I'm sorting it out though.

I have ready to watch:

The Godfather

The Godfather: Part 2

Raiders of the Lost Ark

The Green Mile

The Wrestler

Dr. Strangelove

The Usual Suspects

Gran Torino

Gladiator

Inglourious Basterds

As well as the ones that are waiting at uni.

I don't take blood or watching people in pain too well. I can only imagine that seeing the build up would have increased the empathy and induced a panic attack! :s-smilie:

Where abouts do you live? Your flag is very colourful...

I live in Russia  That's not the Russian flag, though... I just thought it was pretty.

Weird how flags don't come up all the time now, it's like they've removed the feature but not completely...

You guys, downloading films illegally. :shifty:

Why don't you just go and assassinate the studio heads while you're at it? :hmmm:

Kidding. :p:

Not even illegal here in Russia :colondollar:

I have seen bits of it.

But i took films that i'd only seen partially off the list.
I watched Iron Man on Saturday thought it was great.
Anybody else watch it?

Watched it the week before for the first time, if I was a guy, I wouldve jizzed at the scene where the suit's coming on
Just watched The Hangover... nothing like I expected but it was pretty good
The Bourne Identity starting now on ITV2+1

If Russia had a multi-coloured, constantly shifting flag I'd consider moving there. That would be awesome

Yeah, like everybody in the thread.

I haven't. Reminds me, it's definitely on my 'to watch' list.

Hmmm, I haven't had much time for films lately. Watched The Incredibles on iplayer yesterday. I did quite enjoy it, a smart story with some good jokes thrown in.

Really excited for True Grit though. Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon both in a Coen brothers film. :coma:
