Red Riding Hood - everyone's saying it's like Twilight with the love triangle and all that, also has the same director as Twilight (the first film?)

Meh I want to be open minded about it anyway, Amanda Seyfried is great
Original post by Ape Gone Insane
It's not getting good reviews, but Amanda is oddly alluring to the point I want to watch it when my female friend comes over to visit.

And it's pretty distinct from Twilight, it's probably just the rush of Twilight haters seeing the same director name pop up and seeing the term 'werewolves ' being tossed about. From what I've been reading Amanda plays a strong female character, which contrasts pretty significantly with Bella - and also leads to me believe there is more story and action in Red Riding Hood than the entire slow-moving Twilight saga. It has a more adult feel as well.

I generally agree, but wait, Euphemism? xD I'm sure you mean just coming over to visit, ofc

Basically yeah, the opposite of bella, just that she's caught in a love triange like Twilight and the film highly based in fantasy and all that, I'm sure the drama in it is a lot more adult feeling and 'realistic' than in Twilight, I like the whole idea of a dark, gothic Red Riding Hood anyway. It's a nice twist imo (ironically the original legend or folk tale of Red Riding hood wasn't happy ending or all smiles anyway If I'm right)

Completely unrelated to films but i found it amusing.

Holy mother of God:

Rendezvous with Rama

I didn't know about this.

If you don't know what it's about...

The blurb:

The enigmatic object christened Rama was detected while still outside the orbit of Jupiter, and a first radar contact at such a distance was unprecedented, indicating that Rama was of exceptional size. As it raced through the Solar System, it became apparent that Rama was a cylinder so geometrically perfect that it might have been turned on a gigantic lathe. Mankind was about to receive its first visitor from the stars.

Morgan Freeman says, "We're still pushing for 'Rendezvous With Rama.' That's a got-to-be-done movie. Just have to figure out how to do it. I've been trying for -- I don't know -- 15 years now to get a script."

- oh it's been around for some time now, just needs a damn script...

A short student film!
