Yes, it would be nice to fund the university education of everyone who goes. But since RL Labour pushed that ridiculous 50% target on school leavers it is economically very difficult to find the money to fund hundreds of thousands of students in their entirety. Just going from what my university has said, they need to charge £7,500 in tuition fees from October to break even and receive the same amount of funding as they currently do per student. I'm not sure what the new government funding is direct to universities but with £7,500 per student and (I'm guessing) about £3,000 from the government. The government can't afford to give every student £10,000 worth of funding for university - especially with that ludicrous 50% of school leavers target.
4) technically neither has "worked", they tried giving to governments, they were too corrupt, they tried giving to NGO's, they were too corrupt, they tried giving to charities, they didnt have the resources to provide the aid and services, its a complex issue which needs a proper review and serious thought, I would avoid simplifying it to score political points, a cross party bill on different ways of improving aid and support to the developing world would be a good move if we are serious about this.
I agree. It's a complex issue in need of serious review. I don't dispute that. I was merely stating that Conservatives do, in fact, support the use of international aid, but that it needs fixing to work properly.
5) *sigh* if you actually listen to people, there are plenty of alternatives, primarily people have suggested any number of taxation methods to reduce or even make completely unnecessary the cuts the government irl is making, not to mention that many economists have also said that we dont need to cut as far and as fast, we also can look at making cuts in other areas like Trident, there is MOST DEFINITLEY an alternative, in fact there are many, choosing to ignore them is all well and good if you are in the government or in the media where nobody can reply to you, but this is neither so people will give you alternatives, at least acknowledge them, if you dont agree then fine, but dont pretend that the cuts are anything other than ideological, that might work with some idiots, but it wont "cut it" here.
From what a quick google search has shown me, Trident costs 3-4.5% of the defence budget - which means it's somewhere along the lines of £2.2bn from what I can work out. Cutting that would save £2.2bn a year when the government spends a damn sight more on that on debt interest alone. Cutting Trident alone isn't going to help. Bare in mind the amount of lunatics we have governing countries at the moment such as Kim Jong Il and Ahmadinejad who have nuclear options in front of them - in that manner, Trident is a security system.
There have to be cuts, you can't deny it. Sure you can zone in on businesses and tax avoidance - but I refer you to the Laffer curve. I't's much more likely with businesses than individuals that they will up and leave because they feel they're being tax too much. If I recall correctly, HSBC recently threatened to move their HQ away from London. Imagine the impact that would have in terms of tax revenue and job losses - we can't justify it, especially with unemployment as high as it currently is.

Some TSR Lib Dems are more authoritarian than their Labour counterparts, hence why on average they appear slightly above TSR Labour on the authoritarian scale.

Always been a natural socialist, but have to say didn't like those policies. Just seemed very expensive whilst not raising much at all in taxes. Lib Dems looked good though.

If you subtract the 50 MPs then 26 people not already involved in the MHoC have voted and even then you've got party members who are active but not MPs.
