edexcel m3 HELP

can anyone help me wif question 7 in exercise 4c?

the question is:

A particle of mass 0.2kg is attached to the end C of two light inextensible strings AC and BC both of length 1m. the other ends A and B are attached to opposite ends of a diameter of a smooth disc of radius 0.8 m which is free to rotates wif angular speed 10rads^-1 and P remains in contact wif the disc.
a) calculate the tension in each string.
b)given that the strings will break if the tension exceeds 30N, calculate the maximum speed at which the disc can rotate wifout the strings breaking.

Many thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!

Draw a diagram.

Calculate the distance of the particle from the centre (it's a 3,4,5 triangle)

Calculate the force required for the particle to move in a circle.

Then resolve along the line from the particle to the centre.

Post further if you're still stuck.

Which bit is causing a problem? The more you do/attempt yourself, the more you will get out of it.
