But the coursework isn't an exam. The cheating that goes in schools inflates the grade boundaries a lot and they give you the mark scheme. I'd prefer 2 exams only as the coursework tends to drag down grades due to very high grade boundaries and only 2 exams makes the A2/AS course be shorter and simpler and quicker.

For A* you need to fulfill 2 criteria

1. Overall it should be more than 80% which is more than 480/600
2. For A2 you should get more than 90% that is more than 270/300.

aha so now my AS is 255, so if i get 280 at A2, i ll get an A* right?

We have the unit 8 paper which is pretty easy.

May I ask, what textbooks do you use?

Erm...
I don't use any textbooks for physics. I think they are crap. I think only the "How Science Works" sections in the endorse textbook is cool, the other stuffs are not really focused on the actual exam

Tutor notes, past papers and markshemes, specification and examiners reports are the only materials I used.
