Just out of interest.. What do you all look like? It's cool if you don't want to upload a picture, it's just something cool to start I guess.

Have a picture of me that I took before my enrolment yesterday.
(Praise the lord for accutane)

Here I am, sitting in my pjs doing nothing of note.

haha same, and even then I look bad! At least they're only there for seconds!

Yeah... I've done that a couple of times... well, I always come back to them, but sometimes I leave it for 6 months or so just abandoned, which is really bad! The number of revies I get varies, but that doesn't bother me too much - if I get any I'm ecstatic, and if I don't then, well, I just need to try harder. Everyone should have been happy that you were updating quickly though - I love quick updaters, they're amazing!
Ahh yeah, there are some cool films as well. That's such an awesome focus for coursework, whoever set that is incredible! The classic dystopian novel is probably 1984 by George Orwell - if you haven't read it you really should. Maybe your school has already set it though?
I get a lot of both Teen Wolf and Vampire Diaries on my Tumblr dash - I might start watching Teen Wolf if I ever get time! I'm more into Superwholock (Supernatural, Doctor Who, Sherlock), Merlin, Game of Thrones and Hannibal, as well as CSI which doesn't seem to have so much of a fandom. :frown: Yeah I get that problem - I have to wait until after the show has aired most of the time, watching it online or something, and it's so hard to avoid spoilers!

1984- George Orwall. Thats a book? I was supposed to read that before school starts (not going to happen now). Thanks for unintentionally helping me
I like Doctor Who, Sherlock and Game of Thrones too. I follow the first 2 more closely though and kind of went off Merlin due to not liking the plot

Spanish? Yes, 'RE? I just wasn't interested and the rest of the class were thick so it didn't motivate me, English? The teacher wasn't bad, I mean she was good looking so at least she held my attention xD but somewhat young to have much experience?

And true, we should both get by fine  I even got a card from my history teacher because I went from a D to an A in my many mocks, I barely even tried too  what do you want to do at a level, uni, career?

Lol, you look like a cool guy, but with the name Lucas I thought you'd be black haha, I'd post a pic of myself but I may get recognised O.O maybe later

Accutane? And also what did enrollment involve? Since I won't be going to it.

Yeah, it sucks when you're one of the only people in your class that genuinely wants to do the work. :frown: Haha damn I wish I had attractive teachers! I know what you mean though about the whole experience thing.

Haha, see that's a good thing! If you can bump up your grades like that then you shouldn't have any problems with your results. A level I'm doing Maths, German, Psychology and Sociology. Don't have a clue what I want to do at Uni.. I have Criminology in my mind.. but that would only be if I had to make a choice right now. I'll look into courses a little more after I'm settled into college. What about you?

Haha thanks. Well my name is actually Luke, but I prefer Lucas, just seems cooler. That's the only reason I did post a picture, I searched TSR for my school, college and local villages, and the only thing that's been mentioned is my college - albeit 6 years ago - so I reckon I'm safe.

Accutane is a drug that 'cures' moderately severe acne. :frown: Been on it for 8 weeks and it's made a craaaaaaazy difference. I need to go on another course because it's still pretty bad, but I'm honestly happy with how I look at the moment. Sounds lame but I'm not scared to leave the house and talk to strangers any more.

Lucas.

Enrolment.

Walked into some building, got a slip of paper with my name on it, sat down with some woman, she checked over my GCSE results, got told to talk to some man, he made me confirm my AS choices, walked over to some place to give them £58 for equipment (I know I said it was £40 the other day, but it turns out I can't read
), sat down and had my picture taken, walked into a different room and wrote the essay. Then I walked out, got a McDonalds and got the train home.

No problem. My hair is too long... If I had the balls to do it, I'd definitely get it cut how yours is now, but I don't have the balls so I'll just have to suffer with a mop. :colondollar: It definitely needs a trim at least before next Monday though.

I've had a mop for so long, like from Year 7 to 8, I just had a random mess of hair. Then I had a slip into the "emo style" hair for a year and it was so long. Just a mop since then, it was only this Summer that I just decided "time for a new look".

I just prefer how it's so easy and doesn't go all mental in the wind ahaha.

this may seem rather random .. but aren't you supposed to be La Failfish :holmes:

Technically, I suppose I should be, yes... I've just always used le. :colondollar: Awkward.

Well it was the right choice to make because your hair looks pretty suave if I do say so myself.

Yeah that's what annoys me the most, the wind and the rain.

OMG they're all totally awesome :awesome: i think i may have died from the awesomeness of that post :dead: :dying: :flatline: :coma:

Haha, thank-you!! I'm glad someone else appreciates them in the same way that I do - especially CSI, because I hardly ever meet people who like it!!
I'm doing English Literature as one of my AS subjects. I've had to keep a reading log for my college as pre-course preparation. Is anyone else doing this? And has anyone read any novels that might relate to English Lit. over the summer?

Yeah, it's a book  and I think it's a really good one, but some people would disagree. I'm sure you'll be fine if you haven't read the entire book before school starts! When do you go back - Monday? Tuesday? I go back on Tuesday but I don't actually start lessons until Wednesday.
You're very welcome
Yay! They're all awesome, although O'm not quite as up to date with the Song of Ice and Fire books as I should be...:s-smilie: I can see why you would go off Merlin, it did change quite a lot - I liked the way it went, but I have a few friends who really didn't.

I'm not doing English Lit, but at my school each year of English Lit has a theme which you follow for each your - for example, the year 12 one is Victorian literature and the year 13 one is love. Does it work like that at your school? That would help me (and others, probably) work out which novels might relate to your course

I used to abhor the rain as I knew that once it fell, my entire head would become a flattened mess of tangled hair.
Short hair suits most people, but I'm not a fan of the 'all' short cut. Like really don't like it :colondollar:
Fellow mophead here:biggrin:

Exactly the same here! Then it takes forever to dry. :'(

Yeah the all short looks kind of weird, short back and sides; long on top is the way forward.. I'm just way too scared to take the plunge. :colondollar:

Woo! Nothing wrong with being a mophead. Style doesn't matter, it's what's on the inside that counts. (Although I really do want to get rid of my mop )

I agree style doesn't matter, but I'm pretty into it. It really does give off a good impression, used to love mufti days just so I could get complimented on my attire. Bit shallow and pointless but nothing wrong with a confidence boost every once in a while.
