i dont even know! i was just googling the c6h13br question and came across it!
Woahhh ur good.. seems like they may also use it for unit 2 chem. Never thought of solving other exam boards other than edexcel, thanks for notifying us!

isn't bond enthalpy values positive?

yah but their value was negative.

the last question was kinda hard

so would it be wrong if you kept your answer as a positive one ?

what were the answers in that document of question 6 and 15 ?
I wrote irritant :P I actually had an experience xP

would it be right to say that the hazard related to hydrogen bromide is that it's toxic/poisonous?

i don really know. the value they gave was enthalpy change of reaction. may be the reaction was exothermic, and the bond energy might be positive. now i'm thinking positive might be correct cause the question was for 2 marks. so may be you are correct!
what was the answer for the last question on ionisation...

i wrote about the ionisation increases as electrons are removed but there is a big jump from 6 to 7...
this shows that the 7th and 8th electron are next to the nucleus and the rest are in another shell.. this shows that oxygen atom has electrons filled in the 2 electron shells only

because its bond enthalpy... endothermic reaction breaking of bonds....
the enthalpy change given was for enthalpy of reaction ....

Yeah but they will probably just say ignore sign in the mark scheme as they usually do... the important part of the question was the calculation not the sign lol
i wish i hadnt stumbled upon the mark scheme!! grrrrr!!

Lol jobless fellow xP
The question about "why do the CIS and TRANS isomers form the same product" which is in the MSc, my answer is different I wrote "they are geometric isomers and hence originate from hexene this give the same product at the end"
