There's only one thing I need to do for tomorrow now and that is to memorise all the area and volume formulas for the weird shapes.

I have learnt all the log rules and trig identities so all I have to do is as many questions as possible so that I do not screw up like I did in the physics...

The log rules like adding subtracting and squaring are easy, it's changing the base that is tricky. But I realised yesterday it is on the formula sheet :biggrin:

majority i got above 60, half my mistakes were just dumb
they are just more long winded
not too bad, but then again im retaking so yh xD

I realised that on Saturday and spent about 10 minutes smiling because I did not have to learn it... But yeah the log rules are easy. I just sometimes mess up the application

Well for starters I don't have them memorized. every question I try and do has a different shape so I don't know which formula to use.. Is it always either volume of a cuboid, cylinder or prism that will come up? If so can you tell me the formulaes of them? And also I get a bit stuck on area aswell.. is it always just adding all the surface areas to get the total area, or area of cross section x length.. ugh I just don't know

One of them is an international paper C12 (C1 and C2 combined), the other one is from the solomon paper C2, paper H

The 4 that you can't really work out in the exam and are GCSE are:

pyramid

V= 1/3 x base area x height
S.a. = area of base + area of other sides

Cone

V= 1/3πr^2h
Curved s.a = πr x l (slant height)

Cylinder

V= πr^2h
S.a. = 2πr^2 + 2πrh

Sphere

V= 4/3 πr^3
S.a. = 4πr^2
