For vector question, if I use A as my position vector, is it wrong?

No! The line through AB is not unique - you could have used A/B as the 'jump-on' point or any other point on the line - therefore an infinite amount of solutions.

You could have had the 'unit of movement' to be any multiple of itself also

Yeah, that's what I said! Are there any unofficial predicted boundaries floating around?

There might be back in the thread - the only way we'll know for sure is a few days before results day! aha

Cheers for the solutions
How many marks do you think I'd lose on 8a/8b if I accidentally used the wrong formula for finding the value of e/directrices/focii? (I used hyperbola instead if ellipse) :frown:

HIIII guys..
Bit late to get here, but yestersday's paper was child ABUSE! hate it hate it!
why? what went wrong

CHILD ABUSE:hmmmm2::hmmmm2:
Please be 59 for 90 ums!!
For Question 8B, I did the whole question using the general focus and ellipse equations and not using the exact value. Then, I ended up with 2a and subbed in my a = 2 at the end, would I still gain full credit?
