Thanks!!!!! Btw the way any advice on the way to apply for accommodation even though its so late? I wanna make sure that I get on campus. and my first choice is probs Tocil

Be very prepared that you might not get any of your choices! I went through clearing and got my 5th (Westwood), and you may be offered a shared room initially (like me). They try very hard to get all first years onto campus, so you should be okay for that  I believe they like adjustment people a bit more, but not always  a friend of mine on my hall adjusted but still shared a room. We all had an amazing time though.

Be honest and realistic in your description when it asks what kind of person you are and a bit about yourself. They really do use that to match you up to your hall and, if applicable, roommate. I ended up with like-minded people and got on brilliantly!

Nearly all the freshers (if not all) get put on campus for the 1st year, and Warwick's system means that you have the same chances of getting your choices as people who firmed and insured Warwick. I actually knew some people who firmed Warwick but got their 5th choice whilst I got my 2nd choice and applied through clearing.

I'd avoid applying to Jack Martin and Arthur Vick as they are always super popular and oversubscribed. Depends what you are looking for in a room, I can give you a couple of recommendations. I visited nearly all the halls and know people in most of them haha. Does sharing a toilet matter to you, which length of rent is most convenient for you. Do you want a cheap room? Any other things you are looking for?

Basically, they will send you an email explaining how to apply for accommodation. Just have your choices ready and send them off and thats it. Worst case scenario (for freshers anyways), is that they put you in a shared room in a hall called Westwood which isn't that bad as the rooms are massive and this only happens to a few people.

Also, feel free to ask anything else, I know its pretty scary going in through clearing/adjustment as your plans all change and there usually isn't that many people in a similar position to ask. But everything went super smoothly for me, had no issues really. Make sure you update your student finance stuff ASAP as they are super slow at everything.

Okay , well I want an accommodation which is a bit on the cheap side yet not grim if you get what I mean. Also one where I'll be a bit central on campus-But I'm not a party kind of person so I don't really wanna go to Rootes. I also don't mind sharing bathrooms plus I wanna be in a flat so that I can have some base unit of friends. That's why I was thinking Tocil, but apart from that I don't know what other accommodation I could pick. Westwood looks good....but I've heard about the trek to classes:/ !!!
But yh thank you so much for the help, I actually do have quite a few questions but I'll ask them as they pop up.

When you say "honest" do you mean specific? And how does the matching work?Like if you're quite do they put you with quiet people?

Cool okay. So the cheapest four in terms of price per week are Whitefields, Cryfield, Rootes and Westwood at £81, £83, £97 & £98 respectively. They are very basic decorated, but still nice I think. They have a "studenty feel" I think.

I don't have much experience personally with Cryfield but the few times I have gone in there, I have felt that its a bit crowded and the walls are apparently like paper. There is a big common room and I think toilets are shared between 6.

Rootes is nice too. I know you have kinda ruled it out but if you do want a "quiet block", they do exist on Rootes if you ask specifically (I believe there is a tick box in the application process). They have sinks in their rooms which is a definitely plus. Really central location, close to everything, shops, SU etc. The decor in Old Rootes is a little worn but not noticeably, just a little dated. You'll find the same in Whitefields I think.

Westwood has very nice spacious rooms. It is further out but that does mean you are close to Tescos, which makes the weekly shop a lot easier. To be fair, the walk isn't really that long if you don't mind waking. I am really lazy and like to get up as late as I can push it, so it wasn't for me. But a lot of people take bikes and unless you are doing Life sciences which is slightly off campus up Gibbet Hill, it isn't really an issue. I have heard rumours that if you put Westwood down at all on your application, you automatically get it, but that might be a rumour, maybe something to bare in mind. But if you do get it in the end, don't be too upset.

Whitefields was the hall I stayed. I posted some pictures of the rooms, if you are inclined to see what it looks like. Its like a little house, so you have the house with 7 bedrooms at the bottom and 5 bedrooms at the top. 12 to a kitchen. It has a common room with a table and draws in which was really nice. Super central, a second away from the shop/pub/SU/Bar/Social area. Rooms are shaped oddly but that gives them a surprisingly good size.

Tocil, Heronbank, Lakeside, Sherbourne, Jack Martin, Arthur Vick & Bluebell are the other choices.

Tocil was postgraduate only this year, so I can't tell you very much about it at all really. The location is really central from what I remember, you'd be a minute or two from lectures on the main campus.

Heronbank, never been, seems a bit out of the way though. Cheaper option for a 39 week let (longer let) ensuite than Bluebell. Pretty much the same can be said for Lakeside, I think its mainly postgraduates. Its quite recently done so nice decor.

Sherbourne - Very nice rooms and kitchens, out of the way a bit, good atmosphere. Key fobs to get in which people say limits the ability to go make friends with other kitchens but I doubt its actually has that much effect. Heron bank, Lakeside & Sherbourne are slightly further off campus in a little bubble, its probably less than a 10/5 minute walk and there is a shuttle if you really need it.

Arthur Vick has nice big kitchens. Rooms are ok, with ensuite. People say it tends to be quiet but it really depends. Shorter let means you have to vacate your room during the breaks.

Jack Martin is a nice, good location very close to everything, big kitchens, people say it is more social than AV. Super popular, might be a bit of a gamble, same with AV. Shorter let again, is annoying.

Bluebell is v. nice, good location, nice views but from my experience is extremely unsociable. Its also really expensive and I don't think many people find it worth the money.

I'd say go for the cheaper ones rather than the expensive ones, you'll love wherever you end up.

In your second year, accommodation can be more expensive specially if you chose to live in Leamington so go for a cheaper one and save that money for your 2nd and 3rd year.

Oh and in the about me, be specific, say what your hobbies are, are you a night owl or a morning person. If you don't wanna be with people who party hard, say so. If you wanna socialise with your flatmates a lot, say so. Be very honest

Yeah, reasonably. Like don't put 'I don't like going out' or anything vague, but say like 'I like to go for late nights out once a week or so, but value my peace and quiet at other times'. They will try to match you based on your requests - quieter people together and so on.

Thanks for the help-btw how long did it take before your track was updated?
I actually had an issue today because I realised that I sent the confirmation of my offer to the wrong email (i sent it to the main admissions email instead of the adjustment email). Well when I realised my mistake, I quickly forwarded my confirmation email to the right email address but then it had passed 24 hrs so I was scared that I had lost my offer. So then I called the clearing hotline. Well the third time I called(finally), the lady told me that my offer still stands, its still valid and as long as I've now sent the confirmation to the right email, they should process it and my track should update in some days. Later this evening, I called again and the another woman confirmed that my offer is still valid, it hasnt been given to anyone else but I have to wait for them to go through their emails and process stuff.
Well I guess I didnt lose my offer over that mistake but I'm still anxious for them to update my track which hasnt been done yet. :/

Ah mine took a little while, I think like 2 or 3 days. I was super anxious as well, but they wont hang you out to dry as they know you've given up your other offers. Hope it updates for you soon!
