Migrants might be forced to claim Asylum in France!

So apparently the Migrants in the Jungle camp might have to give fingerprints, which in turn might mean they have to claim asylum in France. What can we do to prevent this from happening, and preventing migrant from having to live in the war-torn hell-hole that is France!

In all honesty though, I have yet to year any argument at all, as to why Jungle Migrants staying in France is a bad thing (for them).

Any takers?

The people in the jungle are an unrepresentative minority of folk who get to France. France had 50,840 asylum applicants last year. There are somewhere around 5000 would be immigrants hanging round Calais and of course many of these have been around Calais for much longer than one year.

The British press portray all the migrants in France as seeking to come to Britain but in reality the folk around Calais are only a tiny part of France's own asylum/migrant problem.

We had a little over 30,000 asylum claimants last year, but the key statistic is only 10% of these claimed at the border. In other words the vast majority of British asylum claimants only claimed when they were going to be thrown out of the UK for other reasons; illegal immigration, overstaying, deportation for criminal activity etc.

Good. Let the French have them.

Except if they do get asylum in France then they can claim citizenship and then they are free to move where they like

I suspect the issue is many of these people will not be eligible for asylum or citizenship hence the refusal to register

It'll take years to go from asylum seeker to citizen in France. The wheels of bureaucracy (sp) turn slowly. And by that time hopefully the British will exit the EU so they can't come.

Besides, if you're right and many of these people aren't eligible for asylum or citizenship then they won't be going anywhere other than Charles de Gaul airport for a one way trip back to whatever godforsaken cess pit they came from.

They don't want to claim asylum in France because it has an ID card system, is less tolerant of Islam (than the UK) and is less generous when it comes to welfare and housing.

France is generous with welfare and housing. It is hard to get a job on the black economy.
The police should kettle the ****ers and process them the whole situation is crazy.

It's like the people trying to invade Macedonia and invade is the correct word the fence is there for a reason and they are trying to force their way in.

Damn right they should use tear gas they are lucky they didn't defend their boarders with live ammunition.
