Your answer is correct, all the book has done is simply taken out a factor of (1+3x)^4.

So 15x(1+3x4)+(1+3x)5=(1+3x)4(15x+(1+3x))=(1+3x)4(18x+1)15x(1+3x^4) + (1+3x)^5 = (1+3x)^4 \left(15x + (1+3x)\right) = (1+3x)^4\left(18x + 1\right).

Can you see what I'm getting at? Each term has a factor of (1+3x)4(1+3x)^4, the first term is that multiplied by 15x and the last is that times (1+3x).

More people are learning C4 atm and the OP isn't as lazy.

Tbh though, I think a lot of people find c3 easier than c4

Psychology and English. C4 is alright as is D1, but C3 is just a no no.
How much revision has everyone been doing for C3? Personally I'm absolutely terrified and I don't know how I'm going to achieve 90UMS 😓😫

You can do it :rave: just practice as much as you can. What's stopping you from getting 90+ at the moment?
