How did I get an A in AS physics?

I came out of both my physics exams really fustrated and disappointed in myself and thought I'd get a C or D (need an A for uni) and haven't done very well throughout the year. How has this happened and has anyone else experienced this?

If you found it hard it is most probable that everyone found it hard- Low grade boundaries or generous/vague mark schemes.

History for me- I got a B but was prepared for a D
