Patriotic eagle attacks Trump

Okay so this isn't news per se, it just never gets old. This most excellent creature, an American bald eagle, attacks Trump. As a patriotic beast, it can sense the menace he poses to the constitution

In all seriousness, what a magnificent animal; so noble and beautiful.

it mistook The Hair for a small rodent snack.
Too funny to believe. Almost.

I think that is unfair. It's a bald eagle. It just wanted to borrow the toupee

 In fairness to the beast, he's not alone in thinking Trump's hair looks pretty scrumptious.

It looks like cotton candy!

It could be that Trump is so orange that it freaked the eagle out. You'd be freaked out too if a human tangerine started grabbing at you.

excellent creature
magnificent animal
noble and beautiful.

As Ben Franklin noted, Bald Eagles are cowards and thieves.

"For my own part I wish the Bald Eagle had not been chosen the Representative of our Country. He is a Bird of bad moral Character. He does not get his Living honestly. You may have seen him perched on some dead Tree near the River, where, too lazy to fish for himself, he watches the Labour of the Fishing Hawk; and when that diligent Bird has at length taken a Fish, and is bearing it to his Nest for the Support of his Mate and young Ones, the Bald Eagle pursues him and takes it from him.
"With all this Injustice, he is never in good Case but like those among Men who live by Sharping & Robbing he is generally poor and often very lousy. Besides he is a rank Coward: The little King Bird not bigger than a Sparrow attacks him boldly and drives him out of the District. He is therefore by no means a proper Emblem for the brave and honest Cincinnati of America

This is some great symbolism eh?

Brilliant! I'm really interested in American history and politics (particularly the history of the Revolutionary War) and I'd never read that before. Thanks for sharing

Not really. Ever seen one head on?

Sure they look all stern and menacing from the side, but head on they look a bit weird.

Check this out, though. Just... wow. So beautiful. A marvel of evolution.

The bald eagle is just an animal. its not any more patriotic than any other animal
That eagle's got an innate sense for satire.
This reminds me very much of a poem (a dramatic monologue really) by Marriott Edgar, called The Battle of Hastings. You have to read it in a Yorkshire accent.

In my fantasy it ends:

And after election were over
There, sitting so stately and grand
Was Donald, with an eyeful of eagle
On his chair, with his hawk in his hand.

Maybe that second pic (the pictures appear when I click reply, but in the main thread just seems to show a long link block of text) was just taken on a bad day, or of a weird-looking one?

Check out the youtube video I posted just above, at 0:28 seconds. That's a head-on shot and he looks pretty darn fearsome.

And this pic looks pretty darn fearsome too!

There's a pic online of this huge eagle standing on this chav's wrist (like falconry) and it's shrieking in his face. I really want to find that pic, it's hilarious

‘Twere this way: One day in October
The Duke, who were always a toff,
And having no battles on at the moment
Had given his lads the day off.

That is one left wing eagle. Not a patriot at all.
