I agree, they definitely underachieve. Something just doesn't click with the team.. individually brilliant names but as a team we fall weak.

Kings XI Punjab v Delhi Daredevils tomorrow, too. Kings XI Punjab have won ten out of the eighteen matches played between the two teams so far. Both teams defeated the visitors in the one-off games at home last term, and KXIP lost to KKR but beat RCB and Pune thus far this term, while Delhi lost to RCB but beat Pune.
Daredevils batsman Shreyas Iyer has joined the squad and is available for selection, and considering Tare's underwhelming performance at the top of the order in the two games, Iyer is likely to feature in the XI. Unfortunately for Maxwell, he has a penchant for struggling against spinners. He scores his best average, 83.00, off R Ashwin, and he boasts a strike rate of over 200 against legspinners Karn Sharma, Mishra and Piyush Chawla. Ironically, though, he has fallen to Mishra and Chawla three times, the most times to any bowler in IPL. Billings' average against spinners in the IPL, meanwhile, is 42.50. That's more than three times his average against fast bowlers. He has been out four times to pace and only twice to spin. In the two matches he has played so far this season, Pant has been more prolific against left-arm bowlers, scoring 39 runs off the 17 balls he has faced against them, than against right-armers, against whom he has only scored 49 off 41. Saha has struggled to score against Mishra, having averaged 13 in five innings till date. Miller, on the contrary, has an average of 35.00 against the legspinner in as many innings. He bowled the balls to allow Smith to clinch victory in the opener and then managed only 17 and 11 with the bat in Mumbai's next two games. By the time Pollard holed out in the 18th over, he had played his second-longest IPL innings, and Mumbai needed only 17 off 15 balls.

Tye claimed a five-for, dismissing Tripathi for 33, with a Finch catch, before removing Stokes (clean bowled for 25), Tiwary (caught by Ishan for 31), Sharma (caught by B-Mac for 25) and Thakur (bowled for a golden duck). Kumar posted 3-20, removing Narine for 6, Pandey for 46 (caught by Warner), and de Grandhomme for a duck. Rashid caught Uthappa for 60+ off Cutting, and clean bowled Gambhir for 15, and Ohja snaffled Yadav off Nehra before Woakes claimed 2-49 - catching and bowling Henriques for 13, having Yuvraj caught by the sub for 26. Boult sent back Cutting, via a de Grandhomme catch, for 15; Woakes caught Warner off Kuldeep for 26; de Grandhomme snaffled Dhawan off Pathan for 23; Uthappa stumped Hooda for 13 off Narine.

Bhuvneshwar is great at the death - last year, he picked up 13 wickets in 162 balls in the death overs - the joint highest with Shane Watson. Uthappa struck at 174.35, but the rest of the Knight Riders batsmen had an average strike rate of 114.81. He took Rashid for 21 runs in 12 balls, the most any batsman has scored off him in this IPL and also struck 37 off 14 balls through the midwicket and long-on area. Out of his 68 runs, 52 came on the leg side.
Why is Gambhir opening instead of Uthappa? Uthappa averages 37.34 and with a strike-rate of 137.18 as an opener for KKR whereas Gambhir's corresponding figures are 31.64 and 125.30. Considering Gambhir is a better player against spin as well, it is interesting that he has not decided to bat down the order. And does something need to be done about the poor decision-making? Buttler's LBW decision off Tahir, Pollard's reprieve off the same bowler in the same match, Buttler's LBW off Rajpoot vs KKR, Sharma's off Narine in the same game, Carlos Brathwaite given not out vs Chahal during Delhi vs RCB, Warner taking strike after hitting a boundary off the last ball of the previous over, Jadhav's LBW off Aaron, Uthappa not given out caught off Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Stokes scores at a strike-rate of 166 in the last five overs while Mills has taken 31 wickets in the same period, averaging 13.25 with an economy rate of 7.36.

Bhuvneshwar is great at the death - last year, he picked up 13 wickets in 162 balls in the death overs - the joint highest with Shane Watson. Uthappa struck at 174.35, but the rest of the Knight Riders batsmen had an average strike rate of 114.81. He took Rashid for 21 runs in 12 balls, the most any batsman has scored off him in this IPL and also struck 37 off 14 balls through the midwicket and long-on area. Out of his 68 runs, 52 came on the leg side.
Why is Gambhir opening instead of Uthappa? Uthappa averages 37.34 and with a strike-rate of 137.18 as an opener for KKR whereas Gambhir's corresponding figures are 31.64 and 125.30. Considering Gambhir is a better player against spin as well, it is interesting that he has not decided to bat down the order. And does something need to be done about the poor decision-making? Buttler's LBW decision off Tahir, Pollard's reprieve off the same bowler in the same match, Buttler's LBW off Rajpoot vs KKR, Sharma's off Narine in the same game, Carlos Brathwaite given not out vs Chahal during Delhi vs RCB, Warner taking strike after hitting a boundary off the last ball of the previous over, Jadhav's LBW off Aaron, Uthappa not given out caught off Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Great days of cricket this weekend. The 93-run stand, between Pollard and Pandya, for the sixth wicket helped Mumbai register their third win, beating RCB by fours wickets with seven balls to spare. Bangalore were buoyed by the return of their talisman, Kohli, but they managed just 142 in their innings. Mumbai's top order though buckled early, with Buttler falling in the second over and then a Badree hattrick, reducing the visitors to 4 for 7 by the third over. When Panya and Pollard came together in the eighth over, following the departure of Rana, Mumbai was still 112 runs adrift from Bangalore's total. But they reduced the deficit to 52 from 30 balls as Pollard departed in the 18th over for a 47-ball 70, while Krunal remained unbeaten on 37 off 30 balls. They racked up 93 run in the 9.3 overs they spent together.
Elsewhere, Dwayne Smith and B-Mac's 94-run opening stand led Gujarat to a seven-wicket win against Pune - their first of the 2017 season. Pune, unfortunately, are at the bottom of the points table with just one win from four matches. They scored 171 after being put in to bat on a sluggish pitch. Tye, making his debut in the tournament, returned with figures of 5 for 17, including a hat-trick, and made life tough. Gujarat required over nine an over from the onset to ensure that Tye's heroics with the ball didn't go to waste. Tye came on to bowl the final over of the Powerplay, after Rising Pune Supergiant had raced to 60 for 1 in five overs. He took four runs and then returned in the 13th over to send back Stokes and then, charged with bowling the 18th and 20th overs, Tye gave away only 10 runs and took a hat-trick in the final over. Over 60% of Tye's deliveries were knuckle balls bowled at slower than 120 kph, and he got four of his five wickets off that delivery.
All eyes on both sides today.
