A Train railway track is to be built in Amazon rainforest , what is your opinion ?

The destruction of the amazon rainforest an build the amazon train railway track is

a good idea, it provides resources for humanity and allows the workers to support themselves and their family 25%

Is awful, the amazon rainforest is suffering enough, building the train track through it would be the end of the amazon rainforest, leave it alone 50%

I don't care either way, I can't od anything about it so let them do whatever they want to the amazon rainforest25%

A train track is to begin to be built in the heart of the Amazon rainforest that will run almost right the way through from the start of the jungle to the other end. what are your thoughts on this ?
for start so many wonderful animals will end up splattered across the train track such as is already happening with the highway they build through it for vehicles
there is already the trans amazonian highway running right through for vehicles which was made about 30 years ago and has caused complete devastation to the jungle.
the effects pf this train track will be devastating, the amazon rainforest is under extreme threat at the moment, many of the laws in place to protect the amazon are being removed. Also under construction in the amazon is one of the worlds biggest damns, the bel monte which is causing severe deforestation and carnage to the environment of the jungle. now the government are also looking to build at least 52 other damns throughout the amazon rainforest, each one will cause devastating consequences.

Deforestation there has been on the rise in recent years, the amazon has suffered it's most severe droughts in recent years, after the deforestation in 2004 (area size of wales destroyed) there was a massive drought and the whole amazon dried up, then in 2010 another massive devastating drought occurred.

slashing and burning has increased dramatically, illegal logging and cattle ranching is on the rise, palm and soy plantations are rising, mining is on the rise e.t.c. now building damns throughout the amazon is causing really bad effects on the forest.

however with brazils rising population many people are gaining employment through the destruction of the amazon and therefore are able to raise their families. so is that a good thing ?

please tell me what you think, is it fair to destruct the amazon rainforest, what about for those doing in to provide for their families ?

It might not be that bad - according to this the route can largely follow existing roads so it avoids going through virgin rainforest.

You do know the main reason for the destruction of the rainforest IS Cattle Ranching.

This train railway that is being build has less or a very small impact on the rainforest compared to all the land that is being destroyed for beef production.

So I would say that lets focus on that, first, and then we'll worry about the train railway.
