Liverpool Uni Accommodation

I’m planning on attending the University of Liverpool and study Law (LLB). I had a few
questions about the accommodations:

1) Which one is the most sociable? I would like to have fun and meet new people whilst I’m there.

2) Which are closer to the Law faculties?

3) Any personal opinions on Dover Court? I really like the rooms but I fear it might not be a “fun” accommodation.

4) Any other information you would like to share would be appreciated

1) Crown place or Vine court. I had a friend who lived there.
2) Vine Court and Crown Place are like 5 minutes away from the law faculties maybe even less.
3) Is similar to crown place. All 3 of them are near the law faculties. I just like vine court

I think that you should choose vine court. Vine Court is right next to the library (Sydney Jones Library). Crown Place is near the other library (Harold Cohen). Near Vine Court there is a Tesco express store and a kfc shop. Near Crown Place there is a Tesco express store, subway, Ryman and a blackwells bookstore.

Just as a little warning - when you apply for accommodation, spread out your options (i.e. don't put Vine Court down for all three). This will maximise your chances of getting on-campus accommodation.

Also, lectures tend to be scattered all over the place, although Melville, Crown and Philharmonic are closest to the Law building.

The campus is easy to walk around and you can get from one end to the other in a maximum of 15 minutes (more like 10), so location isn't a massive problem, unless you are off-campus (Greenbank), although there is a bus every 10 minutes from there.

Do you want to be catered or not, and would you mind sharing a bathroom?

Thank you for your reply!

I don’t need to be catered but I would prefer my own bathroom.

If you do not want to be catered then don't choose vine court. Rooms in crown place and dover court are bigger than in vine court

Link for a virtual tour of vine court premier room-double bed. -

Link for photographs of crown place 3/4 bed (deluxe room)- (in my opinion choose 3/4 and not a single bed, the rooms are better and bigger )-

if you share with 8 people the kitchen/lounge area is bigger and 3/4 rooms are bigger.

Central Teaching Hub (a place where you will have some of your lectures for first year and second year) is near crown place.
Chadwick Building (a place where you will have some of your lectures for first year) is near crown place.
Eleanor Rathbone Building (a place where you go to give your assignments is near vine court). BUT I think they will move that building somewhere else now.
Sydney Jones Library is the Library where the law books are (I highly doubt it that there are law books in Harold Cohen Library, most or maybe all the books for law are in Sydney Jones Library) near Vine Court.

I think that the best accommodation from all 4 of them if you don't want to be catered and have your own bathroom is crown place. Greenbank also looks goods but is not on campus. I never went to greenbank but I knew a girl who lived there and I think that there are buses until 8 or 9 pm from Starbucks (near crown place) to greenbank. I forgot to tell you that there is also a Starbucks near crown place, and a Greggs store and a Costa Coffee shop and there are also two subways near by.
