How do i get to unwatch a thread that has been taken down

Yesterday I watched a thread but now it's been taken down and I can't stop the notifications.
Every time I mark as read on notifications, when I re-load the page it says I have the same notification.

yeah I have the same problem sometimes, I've not tried this but it could work: go to the 'home bit' of TSR (https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/) and near the top of the screen there should be a list of your watched threads and a button called "manage", if you find the thread on there, select it then use the drop down menu and press 'unsubscribe' or something then it might stop the notifs?
