biological molecules as question

For question 1.1 I am confused as to why the third one is A, as A is alpha glucose and glucose isn't made during respiration, I thought it would have been C as C is ATP and ATP is made during photosynthesis and respiration isnt it?

Hi during cellular respiration glucose is gradually broken down into carbon dioxide and water, so it is produced. Hope this helps!

thank you for your reply, I'm still a little confused, how is glucose produced if it is broken down during respiration, respiration produces atp, carbon dioxide and water doesn't it ?
Hi. Glucose is broken down in respiration to produce energy in the form of ATP. Respiration does not make glucose!

I think you probably haven't learnt the topic then yet, it is taught in the second year of A levels. Its got to do with Glycolysis, Krebs Cycle and ETC. I would look over and revise these notes. https://pmt.physicsandmathstutor.com/download/Biology/A-level/Notes/Edexcel-B/05-Energy-for-Biological-Processes/Summary%20Notes.pdf
