I've just passed both my skills tests! Did them both within 40 minutes haha. I'm very pleased, one less thing to worry about. Just my interview tomorrow to get through....

    Congrats!

Just a question. In the referee section, it asks for my referee's address. I am using my university dissertation supervisor, do I put his office address or do I need to ask for his personal address?

Also, do we really need to put all our GCSE and A level qualifications in UCAS?

I used my tutor's office address.

And yep, you have to list any and all qualifications you have received. Check on UCAS if you're still uncertain, I think it's in the FAQs.

Sent my application off! I'm stupidly nervous! I've applied for Primary at Notts Trent, Birmingham City Uni and Uni of Birm!
I'm applying for Notts Trent as well! Just waiting on my final reference. So frustrating!

Has anyone applied to Edge Hill, Cumbria or Sheffield Hallam? Have you got even an acknowledgement?
I've applied for Secondary History at Sheffield Hallam - no acknowledgement yet!
I've also applied for Leeds Trinity and York Uni via Schools Direct! Heard nothing!

...but I know that all University's have to keep their applications open for two weeks at least, so I'm thinking (hoping) that my Uni's haven't looked at their applicants yet!!

    Good Luck

I think Primary is quite competitive so you should be worried. I am on Secondary shortage subject which is less competitive and my PS is already done.

Not to say that they have received it, but you will get one to say that they have accepted it and then another to say that they have completed it.

    Hi,

I'm just popping in to say hello and join the frustration. I am applying for a PGCE Primary and am awaiting my second reference. I completed UCAS on 22nd Nov and my 1st reference was completed by my university tutor within an hour of sending it. I now feel like I am hounding the primary school where I volunteer for a reference but I am just worried that I will lose out on interviews despite applying straight away. I just want to get my application paid and sent and then I can stop fretting.

Sucks but apparently even if you do your best you can still be left behind. The current system is not fair.

try not to be disheartened or frustrated. I know it's easier said than done, but at the end of the day, they are doing you a favour. They don't have to write you a reference however in know a lot of people know how you feel. But if you sent it to them on the 22nd that's a friday

then it's the weekend, so the school won't be on emails (well it's unlikely) then it's five more working days, so In theory, it's only the 6th working day realistically , so try not to worry. They will get round to it when they can. Courseshave to stay open for apps for a minimum of 2 weeks anyway, so try not to worry. It will all work out.

Sorry if that seemed harsh, was not intentional.
