You did 192-34, but an area is impossible to be negative so u should have done 192 + 34

It was 32* not 34 wasn't it?

Does anyone remember how many marks it was to prove that C was a minimum for the last question. If it was one mark, what would you get the mark for? Because instead of subbing in my R value I subbed in C (483) but it still came out positive and said it was therefore minimum. Would I still get the mark?

i think it was 2 marks, so one for differentiation again, and a second for proving its a minimum

on part a of the last question i didnt realise that u had to do the circumference x the length of the cylinder (not diameter) and thats why i got 300/r instead of 300pi/r how many marks would that lose??

anyoneeeee??

so **** init :frown: rip

bro i'm so mad after that exam, how ****ing dirty it was. S1 better be ****ing nice or im legit done. Tbh I think i did the trig equations okay, hoping for dem method marks. I ****ed up on the factorising finding A and B question... i tilted at that :frown:

Was only one mark!

I did do it separately, I got 32 for the first value and 164 for the other

The second value was around 190 something not 164

Im in about q5 mate
I made the silliest mistake of all.
Instead of diving 600pi/12pi ove cube root. I did sqaue root and got r as 5 which i was happy about. Aaarrrrgggghhhhhhhhh fml!!!

So how many marks do you think I would get because I technically did both but I'm scared they'll take off a mark

So here is my answer
Q1: 1024-1280x+720x square
Q2: (x-2) square -(y+1) square= 20
Part b i got gradient =1/2, x-2y-14=0
Q3: A=-96,B=-48
Fractorise =3(x-4)(x+4)(2x+1)
Q4:40.9 perimeter and 96.7 area
Q5: r=8/9,a=18,n=28
Q6=32+194=226
Q7:y=1/3 or y=3/2
Q8:tongue:i/9,4pi/9,7pi/9
Cosx=1+/- square root of (1+16k) devided by 8
X=0, x=136.8 or 138.6 something,x=221.4
Q9: 483

I think Q2b)x-2y+14
Also do you think I will lose a mark for not simplifying the factor?
ROTATED, YOU'RE welcome, folks.

That was easy you guys should have just taken btecs
not srs
That was so hard

Probably just one, providing you then differentiated the equation they gave nd got right answers for the differentiation, and minimum turning point
Original post by TheAstrocist
Was the area actually 226? That's what the majority of people got, but the smartest guy in our year disagrees
