They're both pretty similar aren't they? (If by accessible you mean in terms of location)

Oxford is a straight train for me and Cambridge isn't but it depends where you're going from obviously. You don't need a tube if you're going to Cambridge via London though, just walk 10 mins from Euston to Kings Cross. (Assuming your train goes to Euston, if not then you probably need the tube)

Yeah I suppose but some people will have to make changes for Oxford. Either way, letting them know the date a week before is pretty bad.

Just sayin', Railcards get you a third off all National Rail fares and a third off the Oyster price cap.

If you book online then you don't have to show it and I've never had mine checked by a ticket inspector so y'know. If you wanna live the yolo life...

Really? I'd have thought it's just London and then train somewhere to Oxford

You have your interview then? haven't spoken to you in ages

Well yeah, but when you book flights a week in advance it's gonna be quite costly.

Sadly haven't heard anything yet! That's the problem with Oxford - it's an achievement to get an interview... hopefully next week!

    Any offers yet?

Oh right Yeah, must be quite annoying.

Well best of luck, I'm sure you'll be fine for at least an interview.

Bath hopefully Bristol within a couple of days.

    You?

Dad is at me to book flights now but the superstitious person in me doesn't want to tempt fate. Have a friend who has applied to Christ's for NatSci but he hasn't heard back yet.

Nice! I have offers from Warwick and Queen's, Belfast so glad to have those.

Yeah Camden is a seriously costly place to be going to University. UCL reckon you'll need to spend around £322 per week. Queen Mary is in a chavy the more affordable area of East London (thankfully not Shoreditch) so it's about 10-15% cheaper if I went there. It's going to be a massive struggle getting through it all though. It might be worth keeping an eye on a website called Moneysavingexpert. There's usually a ton of good tips to find savings from all sorts of places.
People in the UCL thread say that they live of £100 per week
