played online for around 18 months, started off on full tilt playing 6 max and hu and then moved to pokerstars after seeing how soft the six max scene is. stopped online around a month ago, probably permanently, as im too busy with degree, ecs, applying for investment banking positions. on top of that just enjoying live poker way too much, hate cash, will play a tourney a week if im free

cool cool, don't see how people can actually enjoy casinos but obviously people do, to each their own..

now that ive played live id actually ask how someone can enjoy sitting alone staring at a screen for hours, its depressing esp when on a downswing, live its just more sociable and fun, which is perfect if youre not trying to make a living from grinding, which i certainly dont

Meh, I don't grind for that long, after work I aim to play 500 hands relatively accurately with no tilt which is about 50 minutes of mental focus, just as if I read a book or something. Agree about grinding 8 hours or whatever. I dunno I just hate live. If I'm playing to win then it's kind of an awkward social dynamic anyway, being friendly with someone while trying to get their money, and since I'm pretty introverted I find it hard to adjust. Also if I'm playing tight then 30 hands an hour can just mean folding for pretty much an entire session. My friend wants to go to the casino some time soon though, so maybe it will be more fun with someone I know.

ive never gone live alone  yeah but thats just normal, if its an all in and call then its a little awks because if you have aces and the other guy has kings and he is at risk, he will probz be staring at you lol

Is there anyway we could all play together for fun?

1) don't bet on duff hands
2) buy a book and learn what good hands are
3) practice assessing what others might have
4) be serious and not a drunken idiot and prepared to take a risk

About a week now, but I played a bit before about 2 years ago. I played casually in school so I guess about 10 years if that counts lol.
