Not sure I’ve anyone’s seen me, yet. I got annoyed at my sister for using my account so I had her delete everything.

Anyway, I’m Thom, and am hanging out around Flat 5/B, Teresa doing History and Christian Theology. I’ll probably be baking cakes or cooking dinner sometime in the week (so I s'pose you can always ask if you don't want to go out for a takeaway).

And… that’s about as much effort as I think of to do for a welcome, unfortunately – I'm not so great around new people >.<

Oh, sure I've got Facebook. :smile:

I take it we all have Philosophy/Religion courses - I was told that when they shoved me in to Teresa after a late offer.

Hi,
I've applied for hope for 2014, if I get an offer I will be living in halls.
I really like hope park halls but I was hoping for an honest opinion.
From your experiences so far are people nice? do they keep to themselves or is there flat parties etc? Are the accommodation rules upheld? ie no guests after 11pm etc.
I don't want to move into a halls that will be lonely, i'll make sure I get myself out there to make friends just wondering how easy it'll be haha.

I'm currently living in Teresa hall and I have to say I love it here. Everyone is really friendly and I've had no problems here. Your experience will vary depending on what halls you get. But I would say if you're on Facebook to add the pages of your course and hall so you can get to know people. And when you accept your offer, post what course you're studying and what hall you're in and you'll be surprised how many people reply. That's what I did and I got to know people in my flat and on my course. As for parties there are loads of flat parties, generally posted on Facebook. And as for the guest policy nobody follows that. We are not meant to have guests in halls after 11 and no overnight guests. But loads of people do. To be honest as long as you're not making excess noise too late nobody cares too much. Obviously be careful about your guests but I wouldn't worry too much. I hope you get in and I'm sure you'll love it here as much as I do. Good luck :smile:
