Hello, thanks for your message.

If you applied for accommodation to start in January, it's quite normal not to have heard back yet; these allocations are processed later than the main September ones.

It's worth checking the email address you used for your application, including your spam folder. If you still haven’t received anything, you can contact the Accommodation Team for an update at [email protected] or on +44 (0)20 8392 3166.

Feel free to get in touch if you have any other questions.

Thank you for the response! I was told that once my offer is unconditional I will hear back.
I had another question, on the website it says that the licence is from September, does this mean January starters don't get a 51 week contract?

You would need to confirm this with the Accommodation Team, but as far as I am aware, January starters do not receive a 51-week contract. However, you would be able to reapply for the next academic year (starting in September) and technically 'extend' your accommodation that way.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask!

Thank you for the information
Sorry to keep bothering but I had another question, I got my unconditional offer and I am waiting for my CAS but accommodation says on their side it's still showing "conditional firm" is there a reason for this? It's been 2 weeks now
Hopefully you were able to get this sorted in the end, but for anyone else who may be experiencing something similar: it’s quite common for different systems (such as admissions, CAS processing, and accommodation) to update at slightly different times.

Even once an offer is unconditional, accommodation systems can continue to show “conditional firm” until all checks are fully completed and synced across teams. This can take a little while, particularly during busy periods.

If the status doesn’t update after a couple of weeks, it’s best to contact the relevant teams directly so they can check your record:

International Admissions: [email protected] or +44 (0)20 8392 3192

Accommodation: [email protected]

They’ll be able to confirm whether everything is in place and advise on next steps.
