Connecting to Internet in Monte 1 Halls

If you want to connect a laptop to the internet, do you just stick the Ethernet cable into the two sockets?

buy a longer ethernet cable off amazon though otherwise you'll be thoroughly annoyed by the time you leave at the stingey 1m cable they give you!

Especially if your port is on the far side to your wall socket.
