Ermmm, I got a prompt reject for Op Research prog. But "a recommendation for admit" to their Biz Analytics programme. Along with a list of available accommodations.

Is this normal? And why would anyone send a "recommendation for admit" instead of an offer letter. Does that mean a "?" still hangs around a confirmed admit?

Please clarify.

Generally it means good news

I think what happens is that the department is willing to accept you and has made a recommendation to the department who makes the decision to admit you to the course. Ultimately, something could still come up and prevent you from coming here, but in most cases it will be OK.

And if you are thinking about accommodation, check the Warwick Accommodation Thread. :h:

Merci beaucoup, mon ami. I got a conditional offer to their specialist BAC programme. :h:

Heading off to that thread, presently.

I guess I'm left with one heck of a "quad-lemma" now. BAC @ WBS, MM @ UCL, ORMS @ Lancs & MBM @ Strath.
