Choosing a Masters for the best employment opportunities!!

I'm currently finishing my last year a Sussex University where I'm studying BSc Geography. Though I'm unsure of what to do next, I've applied for numerous graduate schemes, though I feel that I need to specialize through a masters course to enhance my chances of being successful.
I'm looking towards environmental masters, so encompassing, climate change, renewables, energy policy, consultancy etc. Some relevant masters are Environmental Technology at Imperial, Corporate Environmental Management at Surrey, Sustainability and Management at Royal Holloway.
Though in addition to these I also have an interest in Surveying and wish to potentially pursue a masters which is RICS accredited leading to becoming a Chartered Surveyor. Some courses being Surveying and GIS at UCL and Development Policy at Reading.
I was wondering what areas of employment related to the masters above are viable and show the most promise currently and in the following years? In addition can anyone suggest any suitable masters or job areas which are currently expanding(with some relation to the areas I mentioned above)
Thanks

Renewable energy is a sector which is likely to be viable for much longer than the next few years. I think that's the point! I think it's the sort of area where if you do well, you can do very well. Bonus points for saving the planet as well.

My parents are both general practice surveyors, but they've gone into rather different areas of the profession. Have you thought about what kind of surveying you'd want to do?

(It's RICS by the way, not sure whether that was a mistake or an error)

Yeah renewables is interesting, not sure if I'd pick a course solely on the area or choose one which has a few modules related to it.
Looking towards land surveying, though not sure which area within it to focus on.
Where did your parents do their masters?
Go for Imperial! They are one of the best in that field.

Hi,
I'm in a very similar position to you. I did a BSc Geography degree at Southampton, but graduated in 2008. Have been working in education ever since, mainly as I cannot decide what to do as a career.
Am torn between town planning, surveying, environmental management. Feel I need to do a masters aswell, but just struggling to decide what to specialise in.
Maybe work experience in one or more of these would help.
What did you decide in the end?

Er, sorry this reply took so long, I had no idea you'd replied. They both went to Sheffield, and neither did masters courses. My mum did a degree in Surveying (I think...) while my dad did Urban Land Economics.
