maths ums grade boundaries

considering the hard maths exams we did , i i know i got 307 ums , currently its 320 ums for an A consequently do you guys think it will drop as low as 300 for an A ?

same here i got about 275 will it drop too about 270 ums for a B? or will my marks boost up cause of the paper?

Nope, they wouldn't drop the UMS. That's silly.

Most liekly, they'd drop the total amount of marks to achieve that particular UMS.
For instance, if you got 116/120. It might be that it's equivalent to 200 UMS.

More or less right - they scale the raw mark to make it fit the UMS scale.
So if a paper is more difficult one year than another it will be scaled differently (more generously) to the UMS scale
The UMS doesn't vary, but how raw marks are converted to UMS points does.

Two examples:
If an A is 66/90 (73%) on a paper worth 100UMS points, as an A is worth 80% of max UMS, 73%=80UMS=A
If a C is 55/90 (61%) on a paper worth 120 UMS points, as a C is worth 60% of max UMS, 61%(on this paper)=72UMS=C
(When I've said A I mean the A grade boundry, not a mark between A and A*. Same story with other example)
