WJEC Chemistry Unit 2 Resit - January 2012 [Revision Help]

Hey guys. Well basically, I'm trying to push for an A in my unit 2 exam. I got 72-75% last time (I can't remember the exact percentage at the moment) and I'm not quite sure how to re-revise that makes any sense at all ( I'm not sure how much to do because this is my first resit I've had to do as such, so I'm not sure if as much revision is needed as the first time around ). On top of this with the limited time I seem to have compared to last year (I'm also sitting Chemistry Unit 4, AQA Biology Unit 4, AQA Physics Unit 4 and Critical Thinking in January and I'm not used to January modules since at my sixth form we sat all of our exams in June last year), I'm not sure how much time I should dedicate to this resit.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Heya, I'm not sure how much I can help but I unfortunately have some experience in resiting. My advice - do not underestimate how much work to put in! You are doing a lot of other exams so it's going to be tough but it will be worth it when you get the grade you want. I'm retaking CH2 too and I have already started. You need to establish why you did not achieve the grade you wanted - poor revision? tricky marking scheme?
I'd advise the following websites:

http://chemguide.co.uk
http://docbrown.info
http://s-cool.co.uk
http://knockhardy.org.uk

and give Chem101 and General Chemistry Online a google too...

Have a play about on these to get you motivated and definately check out 'Khan Academy' for those days you seriously cba and if you need help understanding something.

Then I'd re-write your revision notes suited towards your board... Topic a week or something, by the end of term incase you have any Qs to ask your teacher and if they're awsome ask them to mark your revision notes once a week.
Then, practice papers, practice papers, practice papers, practice papers! This is what you should be doing over your Xmas hols.

You may have sussed this out already but seems as no one had replyed I thought I'd give it a try... if not a bump  x
