maybe they liked what they saw, i.e. your non-academic qualities, therefore they gave you a low offer to ensure that you get in
Yeah i guessed that might be it, i hope they did anyways! whatever happened it seems to have paid off! just hope i get my offers from my other choices.
With regards to that, i applied to sheffield for management anmd economics, they have a typical offer of BBB and i am currently on BBC. is there any chance they will give me an offer? thanks gordon

Do you mean your predictions are BBC? Then yeah, it is very possbile that you could get an offer, but this really depends on the demand for that course.

I had similar with Plymouth - their typical offer is BCC or equivalent points, they offered me CC
Maybe they advertised their 'typical offer' higher than it actually was to attract stronger candidates?
