has anyone on this site been on a gap year?im thinking of taking one in the future and was wondering what they are like?
to the people that reply can you tell me the sorts of theings you got upto, if the gap year was arranged for you ie. through an agency etc. etc.

I didn't take a year out but some people that I am now at uni with took a gap year. The majority of them worked in order to raise money for university or to gain experience in the area of their studies. One person worked with an engineering company during his gap uni as he is studying engineering. You could try to do the same but I suppose it depends on what kind of course you want to do.
