For the upper/lower bound 4 mark question on Pi

"To the nearest millimeter" - does this mean Add 0.5 and subtract 0.5? and
Do we just do BIG/SMALL to get the upper bound and SMALL/BIG to get the lower bound

im so scared =[ i need 80ish to get an A -MY LIFE DEPENDS ON IT

The mark scheme is here, awesome thank you Mr M

could anyone please answer this?
if i put 2.87 and -0.87 and vice versa (the correct answer) but with no working out (i used trial and error), is that full marks regardless?

cheers, and top work Mr M

That's ok but I'm surprised trial and improvement was successful for you.

I got that too!

Was that question work 5 or 6 marks??

And did u get 29 degrees for circle theorem one and 55 degrees in the one with the parallel lines

yes
Damn -.- I'm made some really stupid mistakes, even though I did the working right. For Q20, when I was explaining it, I said that the angle was 7 degrees too small, but I worked it out right anyway. Would I lose a mark?

I made so many silly mistakes. Has anyone got the paper questions?
If you put, for the last question, x=-0.87 y=2.87 and x=wrong answer y=wrong answer but you had all the working out. How many marks would you get?

I messed up on the mince pie question... Lol

How many marks will I get if I worked out what is required for 45 mince pies but got the final answer wrong?

What was the scalene triangle question?

I don't understand what you are saying - that sounds ok I think?

What if I rounded the upper/lower bound question to 2 decimal places?!?!?!
But put the full ones in working??

Does question 7 have to be simplified?
Yesssssssss: I got 96 which is an A* Yes:

I got 80 in non-cacl
I got 96 in calc

So I got 176 in total which I hope an A*

How much is it for a C out of 200
Reply 36
I think I got 100%, I got 6000 for the estimate question but the answer was 6200, what would the leniency be like? Other than that I got everything right (hopefully)

i think the grade boundaries will be high, the test didn't include tough a* topics like congruence and proof. I would guess the grade boundaries to be 160-172 for an a* and 140-150 for an A

98/100  MESSED UP NON-CALC THOUGH

Non- calc I scored like 80 or so

Could you tell me the inverse proportion question please? I want to check if I got it right, as I'm not sure.

How many marks would I get for the ratio question for doing this: saying that Emma and Dave have 7/10 of the money to share, Dave gets 2/5 of the money and then converting them into decimals and taking them away?

Also, weren't you asked to round to a certain decimal number for the upper bound question?

Stupidly, I think I wrote 4.7 is the answer for trial and error in the working out section, but for the answer I might have wrote 2.7, would I still get four marks? I did indicate that 4.7 was the answer though.

THANK YOU SO SO MUCH! YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

Drop 2 I expect (might be only 1).
