Yeah, he's right, no matter how much effort you put in over the two years it doesn't really matter, it boils down to what you have learnt and managed to absorb and how you felt on the day.

I never actually got round to reading Pride and Prejudice for Eng Lit - I just watched the film

I just watched the one with Colin Firth, good enough, we did it for cw and it got me an A!! My class had P+P parties  We must have watched it 5 times at least.

Latin: Hmmm... A fair bit actually. Probably not as much as I should have though, but by far the most out of all my subjects.
French: Other than for my oral, nothing.
Maths: None.
English: None.
English lit: None.
Chemistry: A couple of days worth
Biology: A couple of days worth
Physics: Not enough. 3 hours tops.
History: A LOT. Loads actually.
Art: None... obviously.
Have to admit I was pretty good at the beginning-started a few weeks before getting off for Easter(so around mid-March). Went steadily(every day) well into June but then slacked off for the last couple of weeks. But as I'd already revised for paper 1 in most subjects, it wasn't too much of a problem..

Oh, who cares? It's OVER!! Now I can surf the net all night with a clear conscience.

:-D
