Ford Motor Location

Doing an analysis of Ford Motor Company for my business homework and I'm stuck on the location section.

Is there a particular reason they first set up in Detroit, I'm struggling to find an answer!

Thanks
Tom

Hey there,

Henry ford picked Detroit as it had the perfect infrastructure to support shipments of raw materials.

This next part is speculation so i would suggest you research a suitable reference, Detroit may have had a low employment rate which would have given him an opportunity to employ cheap labour as his workers needed little to no skill due to the invention of the production line (wrongly accredited to Henry ford)

Anyway, hope this helped, if i can help again just let me know

Matt
