I know right! Whenever I fake a British accent it's always too "Posh".

There is no such thing as a 'British Accent'.
Britain consists of England, Wales and Scotland. Therefore, there are about 3 majorly different accents, in which all have their own 'sub-accents', if you will.

I'm guessing by British Accent you mean the English accent.
One way is to listen to British shows/movies and mimic certain words. Sooner or later you'll be able to string together sentances with your desired accent.

Best way to do it is to actually speak with English people. Over time you'll pick up how they speak and it'll just flow naturally.
