Just bringing this thread back up because there's so much footie news about!

Rudi Voller steps down as Germany manager, new season's fixtures releases, Charlton in for Rommedahl, Spurs want Xabi Alonso and Everton sign Marcus Bent!

And we haven't even started on England yet!

haha, Germany lost to a Chzech Republic reserve team when they had to win to qualify.

They may as well all quit.

Let us discuss the key events of tonight - it doesn't seem to have had nearly as much build up as the two previous games  . So let me make it clear:

Portugal vs. ENGLAND
Prediction: 2-1 to England

Great hope: Ashley Cole to cripple Cristiano Ronaldo
Greater hope: Owen to score
Greatest hope: The hosts to be sent packing, come what may

I just prey paul scholes doesn't attempt to tackle any more.
Whenever he runs towards an opponent, i visibly tense up!

Portugal vs. ENGLAND
My prediction 2-0 to england

Great hope: Owen and Rooney to both score
Greater hope: England leaning to deal with set pieces
Greatest hope: England what ever the result end up with one more goal than portugal

Marcus Bent isn't a bad player, quite a good partner for Rooney(better than big dunc anyway) don't know why they are letting Radzinski go, he's a class little player, bags of pace and always works hard. Would be a good signing for a newly promoted side.

anyway England tonight, not gunna predict a score cos that will jinx us, should be a good game

not only are Charlston getting Romedahl, looks like Kezman is going with him, not a bad little squad Charlton could be getting

Charlton are very sneaky, they get good players without anyone finding out and Curbishley makes the team play above themselves.
