Finnan was cleared of all charges at the time of the incident and it was deemed an accident. Don't know why this has been brought back up tbh.

I think a pensioner stepped out onto the road after not seeing Finnan (or Finnan not seeing the pensioner) and he collided into Finnan's 4x4. Cant remember where exactly it was, Childwall I think but not 100% sure. The pensioner didn't have life-threatening injuries it was reported at the time but unfortunately he passed away recently.

If the big transfer tag does go ahead then I can safely assume Arsenal will be out of the picture first, then possibly Man Utd and then Liverpool, which leaves one team standing...

i'd like to see liverpool nab him. and if swapping players has got anything to do with it i think it'd be more likely they'd want to swap with us and get milan baros. Lyon and houllier can have him

We'd never put in a straight bid for him. But a player swap plus cash would be interesting. Houllier wants Baros, Baros wants Lyon, Essien wants Premiership. Does Rafa want Essien? We'll see.
