From a science point of view, you learn similar things, but in med chem, I'd imagine it's just about looking at more mechanisms and interactions within the body, because it leads to some good research opportunities after graduation. Pharmacy students just need to know the essential interactions in the body.

Also we learn more human biology and of course, we learn skills and practice dispensing in the labs that allow us to become ready for real life situations!

It continues on for another metre and a half at least, the other end has a tv on it (hence the shelf of DVDs)

Hahah. I used to have a study room too. It's been turned into an actual bedroom. Sadtimes

I did a drugs course online. And it was more pharmacokinetics, some mechanisms (phase 1/2 oxidation) and how you have to alter things to get a desired drug that is potent enough but also has good transport properties and that. Was good fun, I enjoyed the fact it was looking at how it binds with enzymes on a biochemical level, so that's what did it for me.

Are med chem/pharmacy not similar?
