you've got quite a long desk there

It continues on for another metre and a half at least, the other end has a tv on it  (hence the shelf of DVDs)

Nice

From a science point of view, you learn similar things, but in med chem, I'd imagine it's just about looking at more mechanisms and interactions within the body, because it leads to some good research opportunities after graduation. Pharmacy students just need to know the essential interactions in the body.

Also we learn more human biology and of course, we learn skills and practice dispensing in the labs that allow us to become ready for real life situations!

Oh then med chem is where it's at

Silly q, what's the difference between pharmacology and pharmacy?:colondollar:

Hahah. I used to have a study room too. It's been turned into an actual bedroom. Sadtimes
Here's my little desk!
I couldn't take a decent picture though :frown:

The view is really nice on a sunny day though! And its a perfect little sun spot!

And here is my horrendously messy bookcase!

I also like to revise my sticking things on the wall.

You must conquer it again! Just claim it as yours haha

:woo: I did a drugs course online. And it was more pharmacokinetics, some mechanisms (phase 1/2 oxidation) and how you have to alter things to get a desired drug that is potent enough but also has good transport properties and that. Was good fun, I enjoyed the fact it was looking at how it binds with enzymes on a biochemical level, so that's what did it for me.

Are med chem/pharmacy not similar?

Pharmacology is the research behind drugs and pharmacy is dispensing the drugs.

Don't kill me if I'm wrong. I have limited knowledge

Wow you're very creative. I love the messy bookshelf. Don't you feel restricted revising in that tiny space?

Well a Pharmacy degree leads to only one profession and that is to be a Pharmacist.

Pharmacology is a field of Pharmacy/Chemistry (deals with drug receptors/interactions) !
Hahaha, there is NO way I could work with that mess around me! I have to tidy my desk every time before i revise :colondollar:

But you'll be testing things on animals. You know working with .... with rats:ahhhhh: and stuff.
Have you read bad pharma? Read it before going into these things
