Hmmm that's a good question actually.

Cellulose molecule consists of B glucose monosaccharides joined together by 1,4 glycosidic bonds and each one is alternately inverted, cellulose microfibrils consist of individual cellulose molecules, they are cellulose chains arranged in a bundle which are laid down on the primary and secondary wall . Idk what else you could say ?

thats a good answer but to just add on it u should also talk about the several weak hydrogen bonds forming between the layers in the cellulose microfibril which strengthens the cell wall..
Can someone please explain ti me why the answer to part A is 5 and not 4? Clearly there must be an error in the rev guide answer

I think the question is wrong as according to the answer it seems like ..the question should ask " the number of species found in ALL the 3 m2 sampled"

if so then the answer is right. as it is 5 species .

Hey guys,
Could anyone explain figure 3.2.15 in the Edexcel Biology Book ( pg. 169, HSW box) ? I mean, does the age of the recipient embryo matter or the donor embryo's ?
Thanks.
Btw, If I've stupidly replied to someone, Im sorry its a mistake. I just made an account. =)

not exactly, circular DNA could also refer to the nucleoid as well!

The cortical reaction is initiated during fertilisation. Cortical granules are released by exocytosis , bind to zona pellucida, cause it to thicken and form fertilisation membrane to prevent polyspermy.

Now according to one of the mark schemes for a question i did you can add that :
cortical granules are secretory vesicles, which fuse with cell membrane of egg, release their enzymes via exocytosis.

If anyone has anything else to add please do
