Hi, anyone have any ideas on what I could do for my biology cswk. I want to do something medical related, using fish or some other easily attainable and ethically acceptable animal. Any help is greatly appreciated!*
Alive fish or dead fish? This year I did my coursework based upon the Antibacterial Core Practical, so you could always use fish oils and see how good they are at combating bacteria. (like in this article http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10435683).
Ethically, only the small organisms like daphnia are really viable and accepted by colleges as ethically safe, as the lab environment isn't really good for live animals. But some medical based practicals could involve the DNA synthesis core, or anything to do with the immune response as that is always applicable to medicine.
