How is that academic talking about the military capability of Israel the same as Israel threatening to nuke Europe?

We have a nuclear defence capability. We have the ability to nuke Iceland or France. That doesn't mean we have threatened to nuke them.

In sum, no such threat has been made, and anyone with even a basic understanding of middle eastern geopolitics would understand Israel has no reason to do so.
