I am actually writing on behalf a friend. He has been really down and has been stuck in a rut for nearly two years. He got a third class degree (failed 2nd year, marks got capped) and didn't attend any societies at uni. He has always lacked confidence but is really trying hard to get a job! He preferably wants something in the IT sector.

Can anyone offer any advice on how he can do this?

Well first off, he should make a professional CV. Get on Linkedin and get connecting with IT managers and others on it. Another thing that would help is using CWjobs which is number one IT jobsite to use, loads of roles available. What area of IT that interest the person, you can't expect just to work in IT. They need to look an area or specialism within the field like networks, database or even programming and research on how to get there. Prospects is good start to check. That my 2 cents on what would help. Any more advice, I would happy to give.

Thank you so much for your advice! He's got a cv- but I will get him on that cwjobs for sure! 😊
