Transformation of functions

I've been given a function y=f(x). The paper tells me to describe two geometrical transformations that maps y=f(x) onto y=f(-0.5).
I know it's a reflection in the y axis and a stretch scale factor 2 parallel to the x axis but how am I meant to know the order? Usually I sketch it but I don't have an equation.

I assume it's supposed to be f(0.5x). I don't think the order matters
