How expensive is it to go to uni at imperial?

I hear that London is very expensive to live in, so how does this effect you as a student in London? How much more would you expect to pay at Imperial than your other average city university?

The average rent in London (outside of halls) is about £155/wk. Most of my friends who don't go to uni in London pay £65-110/wk. Social is also more expensive, but you get a bigger student loan and part time work will pay a bit more. Tutoring can pay up to £30/hr in central London.

Its worth noting that Imperial has the highest bursary in the UK which is of a maximum value of £6000, most other London unis are £3000 max.

You'll be fine. You get more loan and if circumstances allow, potentially up to 6k annually for your bursary. Personally, I love the area of London Imperial is in.
