MSci/MMath or BSc Mathematics?

I'm applying to University in a few weeks and don't know whether to do a BSc or MSci. I think I want to go on to do a PhD. What is the progression to PhD?
A: BSc - MSc - PhD or
B: MSci - PhD

Do you have the option to change from BSc to MMath before end of 2nd year?
My course does. In which case go for the MMath. If you decide you want to change from MMath to Bsc, it is simpler than the other way round, in my experience.

Is it more difficult to get onto a MSci course? In terms of entry requirements?

Yep... but in the event of a near miss they might offer you the BSc instead, that's fairly common afaik.
