I am going to have a parents evening later today where the teachers will discuss my predicted grades. I asked them in advance and I have been predicted the following:
Maths - A* (252 UMS - had 90%+ in core modules) Biology - A/A* (263 UMS) Chemistry - A (247 UMS)
What interested me is that the Biology teacher told me it was up to me whether I wanted to be predicted an A or A*.
I am going to apply for dentistry.
She explained that having a predicted A* is not always the right decision. If a Uni offers you a place based on the predicted A*, but you do not get an A*, they may not offer a place. It also puts extra pressure on me to achieve an A*. I already have a predicted A* in Maths which I believe will be much more achievable for me, so should I just go with the predicted A?
