Thanks guys! Seeing the existing facebook groups I kind of feel like I'm the only Colombian and one of the few latin american people which is nice, I feel special and I'll learn a lot from different people. I've kept in touch with an Italian doing my same MA so buying his old stuff is a great idea. I don't really like the idea of living on campus. Too many people sharing your space and never living the university. I like houses better, plus college accommodation is too expensive and I rather cook at home. We'll see what happens. As soon as I get my visa I'll start house hunting. Now, in terms of cooking, don't want you to think I'm some chef; I can only cook few thing that taste really nice, it's just that a couple of years ago I was hopeless.
I'm getting some advice from a friend's cousin who lives in London in terms of what to pack, like the adequate clothes and specially shoes. I can't take 10 pairs for every occasion. It needs to be practical packing with multi-use items and space-efficient.
