Was it Mr Birling or Mrs Birling

I have just done my English literature exam and it's seems to be that there is a divide between whether they asked out the relationship between Mr birling and any other character or Mrs birling and any other character. I wrote about Mr Birling because that is what I saw. Anyone else who done this exam if you remember can you please let me know what the question was about.

It was definitely Mrs Birling. My friends all that it said Mr Birling too, I feel awful for them!

It was certainly Mrs Birling. I almost made that mistake too. Some of my friends did the same... So sad
